- I'm a creative nonfiction writer and former newspaper reporter. My work has appeared in Brevity and The Huffington Post, among other outlets, and I am the recipient of writers' grants from the Illinois Arts Council and the City of Chicago, both in support of a memoir I'm writing. I teach creative writing at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and hold a BA in English from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Florida.
