- Cheryl Reed is a journalist and author. For more than two decades, she was an investigative reporter and editor for several newspapers and magazines, including the Chicago Sun-Times. Her stories have won multiple awards, including Harvard's Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting. She is the author of the nonfiction book Unveiled: The Hidden Lives of Nuns, which was on the Midwest Extended Best Sellers List and serialized in several newspapers. Her novel, Poison Girls, won the Best Traditional Fiction Novel of the Year from the Chicago Writers’ Association in 2018. For the past two years, she has been a judge in the Robert F. Kennedy Book and Journalism Awards. She has twice been awarded a Fulbright.
