She is the author of Essays of Night and Daylight, stories on race, immigration and womanhood. She is also a health psychologist, which has inspired reflections and narratives about mental illness.
Patty is currently working on a memoir about an American-born Indian girl whose very Christian parents are giddily in the process of arranging her marriage, while she becomes faint at the thought of telling them she’s pregnant with her secret boyfriend’s baby. -
