I'm a recent recovering political operative and technical/policy writer. I spent five years writing speeches, press releases, policy manuals, technical manuals, and long range planning documents for the State of Illinois. I also ran a graduate level internship program with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Urban Planning and Public Administration focused on effective professional writing and analysis.
Now i'm in the process of transitioning from a technical writing career to a more creative field. I loved public service, but I want to tell stories that don't involve public policy now.
