- I am a writer of historical fiction. My debut novel, The Pear Tree, appeared in 2017. The book received the Goethe award for best WW II fiction from Chanticleer International Book Awards in 2018. I also review books for the Historical Novel Society. I recently stepped back from a long-time career as a freelance science and clinical reporter and writer. I have covered international meetings, written articles and magazine supplements, ghostwritten and authored books on healthcare finance, clinical medicine, healthcare quality, administration, and governance.
