- Born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois, just 20 miles outside of Chicago, I spent a lot of time with my nose in a book or writing in a notebook. I wrote my first "screenplay" at 9 years old when my dad brought home Pink Floyd's The Wall and I spent hours trying to write my own movie based on the songs. Currently I am writing contemporary romance. I love music and doggies. I write contemporary romance and I am also working on a memoir about my mom. With influences such as Sandra Brown, Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Weiner and Lauren Weisberger, my heroines are real women with real flaws, fears, hopes and dreams.
