- Joyce Hicks lives Northwest Indiana. Her stories have appeared in Literary Mama, Passager, Uncharted Frontier, Touch: The Journal of Healing, and in the anthology, Midnight Oil. Many of her stories are about older people, as is her novel, Escape from Assisted Living. She worked with student writers at Valparaiso University for over thirty-five years.
