- RAYMOND BENSON, author of over forty published books, is most well-known for being the third, and first American, author to be commissioned by the James Bond literary copyright holders to take over writing the 007 novels between 1996-2002. In total he penned six original Bond novels, three movie novelizations, and three short stories, all published worldwide. His best selling and critically acclaimed five book serial, THE BLACK STILETTO, was published between 2011-2014. THE BLACK STILETTO is currently being developed as a television series in Hollywood. Raymond is also the author of numerous other original thrillers, including THE SECRETS ON CHICORY LANE (2017), BLUES IN THE ARK (2019), and his latest, THE MAD, MAD MURDERS OF MARIGOLD WAY (2022), which won the IPPY Gold (1st place) award from Independent Publisher Book Awards. Besides his original works, Raymond has penned several media tie-ins to popular videogames. He has worked as a computer game designer/writer, stage director, music composer, and is a well-known film historian. He taught Film History and other film genre classes at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and spent 16 years performing a popular monthly live show with Chicago-area film critic Dann Gire.
