  • From the banking boardroom to baking. After leaving her corporate positon, Debi Catenacci has taken her love and passion for the Italian culture, preserving old-world practices and traditions of baking authentic biscotti. In her book “Divine Biscotti,” Debi shares her storytelling charm on how she has turned her grandmother’s old- world biscotti recipes into gourmet seasonal delights. Love is wrapped in each enchanting bite of the gourmet biscotti. Debi has held baking demonstrations at the Chicago Williams-Sonoma located in Lincoln Park, in addition, she has a special Divine Biscotti recipe featured in “The Pastry Chef’s Little Black Book Volume II.” I n November of 2023, Debi was Knighted into the Chicago Chapter of the Knights of the Truffles and Wines of Alba. In October of 2024, Debi traveled to Alba, Italy with the Chicago Chapter to the Castello Di Grinzane Cavour and had lunch in the Castle with the wines of the 48th Selection of the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba. Debi is a philanthropist and serves on the Board of Managers of The Service Club of Chicago, is a co-chair for the Holiday Luncheon and is actively engaged in charitable initiatives, notably supporting The Chicago Lighthouse, Flair, and Eversight charites in Chicago. Debi received her BA in Business from DePaul University and was a member of the delegation representing DePaul University at the Sustainable Development NGO conference at the United Nations, in New York. She resides in Chicago with her husband.
