  • Born Lowell, MA., 1943. Vowed to be "serious poet for life" when 16 years old. Have kept to this vow. I have been published sporadically; last 10 years I have not submitted to little mags--or big mags. "In Velvet," a long poem in the voice of an Athabascan girl in puberty seclusion, nominated twice for Pushcart Prize. "In Velvet" will appear in my forthcoming (June 8) collection of Selected and New: The Shape of Wind on Water. (Loom Press, MA, 225 pages with a Kodak of cows.
