- Matt Beardmore is the owner of MB Writing and Editorial Services. Over the past 20 years, Matt's work has appeared in the New York Times, Fodor’s Chicago Travel Guide, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, ESPN the Magazine, and numerous other national and local publications. In addition to extensive experience writing about travel and sports of all levels, Matt, a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, has a wealth of experience in education. He has taught college-level English courses for a decade, he has written numerous faculty and student profiles, employee newsletters, and HR communications as a contract writer for a for-profit university, and for the last 4 years he’s been a dissertation copy editor for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Matt also has nearly a decade of experience writing technology proposals for a Fortune 200 IT corporation. During his time as a proposal specialist, Matt has helped his organization secure hundreds of millions of dollars in business as he skillfully assembles stakeholders, delegates tasks and prepares professionally written responses that address customer requirements while positioning the company for success. Other highlights of Matt’s time there include earning his department’s Outstanding Mentor Award for mentoring new coworkers and Facilitator of the Year for his contributions as the Editor in Chief of the department’s monthly internal newsletter.
