- Caroline L. Huftalen began her professional writing career as a journalist after graduating from the University at Buffalo with a degree in English and theatre. Huftalen received her MFA in writing at SCAD-Atlanta where she was the founding editor of IVY HALL REVIEW, and the recipient of many awards for her writing including the Gold Circle Award. Huftalen freelanced for publications such as BURNAWAY and WOMENETICS before starting her own publication BUSKING AT THE SEAMS which covered literature and theatre in and around Atlanta. Most recently she has worked as an arts administrator for Horizon Theatre and 7 Stages. Huftalen is currently finishing up her serial young adult novel, SHEPARD THE SHOTGUN and launching her own nonprofit organization, Survivors Project, which shares the stories of victims of domestic violence. She lives in Chicago, IL.
