- Sandra McKay is a debut author who resides in Flossmoor, Illinois. She completed creative writing courses in college, but until now, her writing career focused on business. After she decided to write her grandmother's story, Sandra participated in the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, at The University of Iowa, for two consecutive years. Concurrently, she spent two years conducting research before she started to write. Her first book, A Place for Me, An Orphan's Journey Home, is scheduled for release this fall.
