- Marlene Samuels earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from University of Chicago where she serves on the Advisory Council to the Graduate School, Division of Social Sciences. A research sociologist and instructor, Marlene’s current research addresses female to female relational aggression. She is editor and coauthor of The Seamstress: A Memoir of Survival, as well as the author of When Digital Isn’t Real: Fact Finding Off-Line for Serious Writers. She is completing her next book entitled, Where Hitler Hides: A Memoir Told In Short Story. Marlene divides her time between Chicago, Illinois and Sun Valley, Idaho with her emotional support Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Ted and George.
