- A teacher by training, Jody Robinson bumped around in various jobs after college including janitor, retail, and finally in high tech. She was invited to interview (partially conducted in French, which cinched her the job) and hired at a top financial software company in the Silicon Valley during the tech bubble and bust. It was a pivotal moment in her life and career. Jody discovered that there were many different perspectives on money and customer service. After moving to Chicago, Jody in pursuit of starting a family, took an admin job at a financial firm. The twists and turns in life led her to over a decade as a financial advisor in her own practice. As she worked with clients over the years, Jody realized the most important aspect of her job became helping people work on their Money Messages (perceptions of money) so they can live the best life possible. Jody helps people find wealth in purpose, and purpose assigned to their wealth. Today, Jody Robinson is a wealth manager with offices in Illinois. Jody’s background covers the full scope of financial planning: wealth management, portfolio construction, insurance, estate and tax planning. Jody understands the complexity of personal and financial situations. She specializes in helping individuals rewrite their Money Messages so they can create purposeful wealth. She successfully faced the challenge of transitioning to an independent practice while working as a divorced parent. She has since remarried, and her expanded family includes her son, four adult stepchildren, and a giant, but gentle, black Labrador. Jody actively participates in her local Rotary club and other volunteer activities, promoting youth leadership and humanitarian service. She is a past Assistant District Governor and Oak Forest Rotarian of the Year 2018. In 2011, she received the Zeke McIntyre Pioneer Award from a large financial corporation. The award recognizes excellence in new financial advisors. For fun, Jody enjoys cooking, gardening, swimming, and listening to audiobooks. You can also find her out walking her dog or singing like a crazy woman while driving.
