  • Julie Stielstra lives in the Chicago suburbs, but escapes regularly to central Kansas (thank heaven for telecommuting). Her short fiction has been published in Zahir Tales, Potomac Review, Bellevue Literary Review, New Plains Review, The Examined Life Journal, and by Wordrunner eChapbooks (https://www.echapbook.com/estore.html#stielstra), in the seven-story collection Protected Contact and Other Stories. Minerva Rising Press named her historical novel Pilgrim the winner of their 2016 novella contest. Meadowlark Books will be publishing her teen/YA novel, Opulence, KS, later this year. A lifelong horsewoman, she also loves cats, dogs, birds, cheap wine and the prairie.
