- I have published two novels. HUNGER, published by Forge in 2001, was selected by the New Hampshire Humanities Council to be included in the 2001-2002 statewide reading program, New Hampshire Reads. THE MOSAIC ARTIST was published in 2010 and selected as notable fiction by Publishers Weekly Select and reviewed in the October 17, 2011 publication; awarded Honorable Mention for fiction at the New York Book Festival in June 2011; awarded Honorable Mention for fiction at the New England Book Festival in January 2012; and chosen as finalist for the Eric Hoffer Grand Prize in 2015. I just completed the manuscript of my third novel, Brilliant Rising. Like many writers with degrees in English (Simmons College), I have varied work experience in the food and hospitality fields: private events planner for a catering company and a large restaurant; recipe writer and host of video cooking instruction for MPN Online/Eagle Tribune newspapers; weekend baker at a neighborhood bakery. Although a Massachusetts native, I recently settled in Chicago after returning to the US from Switzerland.
