- Ed Marohn, a former executive with International Fortune 500 companies Michelin and Continental AG, served as an army airborne captain in the Vietnam War. He commanded a combat unit with the the101st Airborne Division and received three Bronze Stars, one Air Medal, and two Army Commendation Medals. As a volunteer VA PTSD facilitator, Marohn is a proponent of better mental health support for soldiers and veterans. While the Vice Chairman of the Idaho Humanities Council (NEH), he encouraged more liberal arts education venues. His involvement in politics as an Idaho Falls City Council member (2014-2018) taught the value of critical and objective thinking. His many writings include newspaper columns and fiction and non-fiction published in multiple magazines. His first novel, Legacy of War, came out in May 2019, and his second novel, Legacy of Evil, in August 2021--part of the John Moore action-adventure series.
