By day I am a senior manuscript editor and assistant managing editor at the University of Chicago Press, an editor of THE CHICAGO MANUAL OF STYLE, and editor of the CMOS Online’s Q&A. I currently write for the Lingua Franca blog at the Chronicle of Higher Education, but I have also worked as an editor of children’s books at Cricket Books (Carus Publishing) and have published several books for children. My most recent books are THE SUBVERSIVE COPY EDITOR: ADVICE FROM CHICAGO (OR, HOW TO NEGOTIATE GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR WRITERS, YOUR COLLEAGUES, AND YOURSELF)(University of Chicago Press, 2009); and EDDIE'S WAR, a middle-grade novel about an Illinois farm boy during World War II (Namelos, 2011).
Mainly children's books. |
