Kathleen Demmert Tresemer is a diverse writer, paying the bills with her work as a weekly columnist/journalist for The Rock River Times newspaper and as a project writer for a web design company. In addition, her fiction has won a top award in Writer’s Digest 76th Annual Competition and a 2009 award in the Rockford Writer’s Guild “Ides of March” competition.
Tresemer’s “previous life” as a social work professional gave her the background to write fiction about facing life’s grittiest issues, and her current projects include full-length novels in both mainstream and YA genres. She is a founding member and sits on the board of the new CWA affiliate, In Print, a professional writers group in the Rockford area.
